Calgary Aquabelles Year End Watershow
The Calgary Aquabelles
invite you and your family
to join us for our Year End Watershow.
Our
Wildrose Teams will just be back from what is promising to be a
successful Provincial competition and our National Age Group teams
will be preparing to head for Nationals. Several of our Athletes
will be trying out for the Canadian National B team, Junior National
Team and the 13 to 15 age group team.
This is
a great opportunity to experience the progress that our Athletes
make as they achieve the skills and ability to move from Tier 1
through to Tier 7. We are very proud of our athletes’ and coaches’
accomplishments and hope you are able to attend. Prepare to be
amazed and impressed!!

Where: Talisman Centre – Main Pool
We will
also be collecting food for the Calgary Food Bank at the Event. We
thank you in advance if you are able to bring a contribution.

Appointed Assistant Coach of
Synchro Canada's 13-15 National Team
Laurel Alexander coach of the Calgary Aquabelles Tier 7
Junior Team has
been selected as the assistant coach of Synchro Canada's
National 13-15 Team.
Laurel will
be coaching with Chantal Vallieries of Synchro Elite adn Vannessa
Bray of the Edmonton Aurora's.
This appointment, confirms the strength and dedication
of the Aquabelles coaches and their program of
excellence.

Congratulations to Our
Alberta Games Competitors.
The
Calgary Aquabelles Tier 3 team can hold their heads
very high. They competed at the Zone 3 Trials
of the Alberta Games.
They
performed amazing and in the minds of
all Aquabelles they are a great success story.
This team
with many swimmers being only in their 2 year of
competitive Synchronized swimming were up against
many athletes that were older and at higher tier
levels. It was a close competition and they
can walk tall and should be proud of their
accomplishment.
The
Aquabelles qualified 2, Tier 3 Duets to represent
Calgary's Zone 3 at the Alberta Winter Games.

These
Aquabelles Athletes will be heading to Leduc on
Thursday February 14th to be part of this province
wide 24 sport event.
This is a
great honor for the girls to qualify in a field of
swimmers that included all Tiers from Southern
Alberta.
We are
very proud of these girls and wish them the best of
luck at this upcoming meet.
Aquabelles Head Coach
Appointed Head Coach of National B Team
Jenn Tregale head coach of the Calgary Aquabelles has
been selected as the head coach of Synchro Canada's
National B Team.
After a very successful season with the Junior National
team last summer, Tregale will be steering the National
B team this upcoming training season during this summer.
With Tregale's direction and coaching strength's the
Calgary Aquabelles have captured the essence of
excellence in training for sport and in life.
Tregale not only coaches the Aquabelles Senior Team,
Solo's and Duets. She also mentors our many other
talented coaches and manages the Aquabelles programs.
Tregale is a real asset to the Synchro Community, the
Calgary Aquabelles and the long term development of
young female athletes.
This appointment, confirms the strength and dedication
of the Aquabelles coaches and their program of
excellence.

Two Aquabelles Qualify for
Synchro Canada's Olympic Team
Please Congratulate:
Jennifer Song and Alison McKenny
for qualifying for the Olympic team after phase 1 of the Team Trials.
They placed in the top 10 of 14
in Canada.
Phase II of the trials will be in December 2007.
Jennifer and Alison will be
training in Montreal with the team.
We wish them well and are proud
of their accomplishments.
We are in no doubt they will
represent
Canada, Alberta, the Calgary Aquabelles & the Talisman Centre,
in a way that will make us all proud.

Olympic Team Trial's
Jennifer Song and Alison
McKenny are off to Montreal
for Phase I of the Olympic Team trials.
Jennifer Song is a current
National A team member and has just returned from the Pan Am Games with a
Silver. She will be looking to keep her current position on the team.
Alison McKenny is Canada's Gold
Medalist in Solo at the Canadian open. Alison has hopes of making the
team.
We are wishing both athletes
the best.

Jennifer Song swam on
Synchro Canada's National A team which placed 6th in the world against
