Jan Debney

Wildrose Head Coach & Coordinator:

I have been with the Aquabelles since 1968 when I was a swimmer. I swam for 6 years and then went on to coach. I coached our youngest swimmers for a period of 3 years and then moved up to Edmonton and coached with the Auroras for two years.

I returned to Calgary and the Aquabelles have been my good friend ever since. I coached teams at the 12 & Under and 14 & Under level. I was not involved during the 80s but started back when my girls started to swim. Debbie Muir and I put together a once a week program that I taught. We quickly moved those girls into competition and I became a permanent fixture around the club.

I again coached 14 & under teams with my biggest accomplishment being a 6th place finish at Nationals for our 14 & Under "B"team.  My move into a coach mentor has been exciting for me.  I love working with the younger girls and am always excited at their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. I am proud of the Aquabelles and the impact this club has  on the young women that spend time with us.

Kim Godard

Jill Nunns
