The Calgary Aquabelles
Synchronized Swim Club is looking for dynamic individuals who have a passion
for synchronized swimming and fostering a positive environment for our
athletes to develop within, to join our Coaching Team. Individuals must be
dedicated in addition to possessing a sound technical background in
competitive synchronized swimming.
The Calgary Aquabelles have
been a successful club for more than 40 years. We have a very progressive
program and have adopted the "Long Term Athlete Development Program". The
club places a high emphasis on fitness and skill development and encourages
competition at all levels.
Athletes train September
through June.
Our Mission Statement is:

Synchronized Swimming".
Our Club Philosophy is to:
" Provide superior technical and artistic knowledge and expertise in the
sport of Synchronized Swimming and to have a lasting impact on the lasting
positive impact on the lives of our athletes, coaches, parents, sponsors and
stakeholders."
Reporting directly to the Head Coach
The following qualifications are considered an asset:

Fully certified at NCCP 1 and ethics module

Exceptional technical knowledge of synchronized swimming.

Coaching Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:

adhering to the Aquabelles coaches code
of conduct
-
communicate with
athletes during corrections and all conversations in a constructive and
encouraging manner
-
treat all members equally and respectfully
-
serve as a positive role model to club members, spectators and peers
-
promote good sportsmanship and self respect
on and off deck
-
coaching of all athletes to create a fun and supportive
learning environment that encourages development and excellence

Daily practice planning
-
Effective and continued communication with athletes, coaches and parents
-
Maintain close liaison with the Head Coach
-
Attend and participate in mandatory monthly coach meetings
-
Attending all competitions and preparing athletes for competitions
-
Semi-annual written progress reports to athletes at
minimum.

Attend all club training sessions & coaches meetings
-
working with the coaching team to learn and implement
LTAD training into the Aquabelles program
Reporting directly to the Head
Coach, the successful candidates must
have a positive attitude, effective two way communication skills, leadership
qualities, be enthusiastic and willing to challenge athletes at their
respective levels. It is also critical that the successful candidate must be
an advocate of team cohesion for both the athlete team as well as the
coaching team.
All candidates must be a
member of the Alberta Coaches Council, the CSCTA and must submit a criminal
record check as required by Synchro Alberta. We offer a competitive
compensation package and an established training program.
