On Saturday, March 14th, 2009, the Tier 6 Aquabelles volunteered their time to swim their synchro routines at the Renoir Retirement Residence. The water show was put on to celebrate the newly renovated pool at the Residence. There were many people there that included the residents of the Renoir, their families and friends, and also the family members of the swimmers.

Everyone really enjoyed the show and many people expressed how amazed they were by their performances. In particular, it was exciting to see all the “old folks” enjoying the show and having a good time – I wouldn’t be surprised if it was their first time seeing Synchronized Swimming in real life.

As the coach of this water show, I truly appreciate the time and dedication these athletes devote to synchronized swimming and the lengths they are willing to go to share their sport with the community. It really came together in the end for a great show and a good time!
