Who have all been selected by Synchro Canada to train at the National Team Training Centre in Montreal, QC! They will be training with the top 24 selected members from the Canadian Olympic Team, the National B Team, and the National Junior Team in preparation for the Synchro World Trophy competition in Madrid, Spain later this year.

We will miss seeing you girls at the pool everyday in Calgary and wish you all the best in Montreal!

Welcome to the new Calgary Aquabelles website! We decided it was time for a facelift, and thanks to the efforts of our new webmaster, Ben Wong of blargmedia, we’ve unveiled the new look today!

A few important notes to keep in mind:

• We have tried to migrate as much of the old site as possible. This is still a work-in-progress and more things are being added every day. If there is something specific that isn’t here that you remember being on the old site, please let us know and we will try to find it and get it here.
• There may be a few glitches as we get the new site rolling, but if you encounter any kinds of error messages or odd behaviour, please let us know what you were trying to do and what messages you got so that these kinds of things can be fixed.
• The old userids and passwords will no longer work with the new site. You should have received the new information through other means, but again, let us know if you can’t login.

Some Updates:

The annual Aquabelles’ Dad (Parent) & Daughter day is back!

On Saturday, November 15th, from 2pm to 3pm, come to the Talisman Centre and spend an hour working out with your daughters in the pool. Compete in a number of fun water games and even learn some of your girls’ routines. Just remember to stretch first!

Two Aquabelles enjoyed successful swims at the UANA Pan-American Synchro Championships! In the 12&Under category, Kali Wong swam a solo and placed 3rd in preliminaries. In the 13-15 category, Claudia Holzner swam a solo and placed 2nd in preliminaries.

In addition to that, Canada had a strong showing overall, finishing with:

• 12&Under: Solo Gold, Duet 5th, Team 5th
• 13-15: Solo Gold, Duet Gold, Team Gold
• 16-18: Solo Gold, Duet Gold, Team Silver
